Life: Friday Ramblings

I jinxed my world when...
...I told a friend how fabulous life has been lately!  We went to the local tree lighting ceremony at Bayard and had the best time.  Santa did the countdown and spent time with the kids after we belted out Christmas carols on the lawn.  The next day, we put up our Christmas tree, wrapped presents, drank hot chocolate, and wrote our letters to Santa.  Loki had us smiling ear to ear all weekend long.  Finally, we got to enjoy a 40th birthday party filled with fire pits, cigars, and whiskey.  Not my thing, but it was good company at least!  I was feeling real good on Sunday night.  That's when I sent my friend a message and released the bad mojo.

Monday morning I got the call that...
...Nanny, my grandmother that's like a mother to me, was having a difficult time breathing.  She went from the primary care doctor to the cardiologist to the emergency room.  Before the end of the night, we learned that she had blood clots throughout both of her lungs and on her leg.  Someone was watching over her because after a procedure, a second scare, and almost a week in the hospital, Nanny is out of the ICU and finally on her way to recovery.

What are your Friday Ramblings?

  1. Look at Loki!!!!
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, mine both died within the same year together with both my grandfathers, like within a six month period, but I was never close to any of them as they never really took any special care of me.

  2. Well, that’s a scare, esp. during Covid and hard with the holidays coming up. Hope your Nanny makes a full recovery. XO

  3. Loki ♥

Poor Nanny! What a rough time she's had. Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery!
