Life: Friday Ramblings

Here's a giant THANKS to the...
...volunteers at Bayard Arboretum.  I visit this place several times a week to get some exercise and look for birds.  Despite my frequent visits, this place never gets boring and that's mostly thanks to the volunteers that do such a great job keeping it fresh.  This week they set up a Halloween themed walk made with scarecrows and various other props that the kids LOVED.

It made up for the...
...cancelled Halloween events that my daughter became accustomed to.  When the church decided to skip their annual Halloween party, she got upset.  When the local library canceled their Haunted Gazebo extravaganza, she really got upset.  Then when we drove to our favorite, local neighborhood, Halloween home to see the lights were off and that there was no walk through, she was devastated!  Bayard once again saved the day.

I'm happy to report that...
...my hair has officially STOPPED falling out in clumps.  The second my job announced it's stance with the vaccine mandates, my hair started staying put.  Coincidence?  Most certainly not.

We're looking forward to...
...a Halloween party at my boss's house on Saturday.  That means my husband and I are dressing up.  Can you guess as what in the comments?  I'll give a hint.  It's something that I love and something that he's just not that happy about!

I'd like to wish all of you a...
...a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  I hope that your day is spooky, filled with lots of tasty treats, and is super fun!

What are your Friday Ramblings?

  1. Have a pleasant All Saints weekend and have fun at the party! Hope the kids won't be too sad this holiday without Thor the God of Thunder.

    1. Thank you!! They're definitely feeling it, we all are. Working from home has been brutal for me. I keep looking for him and then remembering.

  2. Are you dressing up as birds? LOL!

That’s a bummer about all the cancellations. Is it about Covid? The only things that have been canceled here were due to rain. I’m glad your hair is staying put. I think so much about our bodies is related to stress, but doctors don’t seem to get that.

    1. YES! You WIN! I'm gong to be a bird and he's going to be a bird watcher.

Yes, lots of cancelations due to COVID. I understand many of them, but am confused by the outdoor activities that were canceled.

  3. It seems like we have more events than ever lately. I think a lot of places are making up for all the closures last year because of Covid. I'm sorry it's been one disappointment after another for your daughter :(

I like Bijoux guess about going as birds. But I'll guess Supernatural characters?

What do you mean what is wrong with playing someone's dog??? LOL Imagine if he wanted you to play his cow or something, hope he has a good sense of humour LOL

    5. Oh no, we aren’t like that at all. We are very playful. I’d be the cow no problem as would he. Although, last night at the party, one man was a toilet and his wife was a poop emoji. That one I may not have done. Lol!

    6. Oooh, now Cruella would be a fun one. I've been looking at old cars and the ones that look like Cruella's I keep trying to convince Jason to buy. Maybe this time next year I can be Cruella and he can dress up like a dog LOLOL!
