Life: Friday Ramblings

We had the absolute BEST time in...
...Boston!  It was nice to get away and temporarily forget stressful things in life like vaccine mandates.  We got to spend uninterrupted time with the kids and we didn't touch a computer once!  In fact, we barely even touched our phones.  Instead we basked in history, amusement parks, lots of seafood, and tons of urban exploration!  Can we go back?  Please?

I apologize in advance for...
...the tons of posts you're all about to suffer through about our trip!  Unfortunately, I got lots of stuff to say and I wouldn't want to leave anything out.

Finally, peep the...
...Boston Baked Beans in the top, left hand corner of the picture.  When I finally saw them on a menu, I immediately thought of Theresa (link) and I had to try them on her behalf.  They really weren't anything special, but then again, I'm not exactly a bean connoisseur.  lol  The beans were sweet and were a much healthier side than the fries, so that was definitely a win!

I'm freaking out because... hair is falling out in clumps again.  Every time my anxiety gets triggered, my hair is the first thing to go.  It's falling out so quick this time, that I'm honestly surprised that there is any left.  I've been to the doctor, and it's not a health issue.  It's literally just STRESS.  Any tips on how to lower stress levels and save my hair would be greatly appreciated because the vacation didn't even help it!

What are your Friday Ramblings?

  1. So glad you had a great time! Depending upon the sugar and salt, the beans may not have been healthier than the fries! Lol, you can’t win anymore, let me tell you. I have no idea on the hair. Sounds stressful just thinking about it!

  2. What do you mean the beans were sweet, sweet as in sugared? Whaaaat? Although I do know about recipes for vegan brownies with beans LOL
Start drinking ashwaganda for stress, I think you can ask sister Theresa about it.

    1. Yes, they had to have some sort of sugar in them. Maybe brown sugar? They were like candy. I have to look into that drink because I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown over here (and I don't say that lightly).

    2. It is not a drink, but powder or tablets, it is a natural remedy made from ashwaganda plant which is good for calming down and mental health, very popular among the natural remedy fans. Theresa said it works for her and I know others who love it.

    3. It is very bitter, but if you mix it in a smoothie, you won't notice the taste. Also, many of my fellow Ulcerative Colitis sufferers use Collagen Peptides to help with hair loss and promote new growth. I did order it, but haven't used it long enough to fairly evaluate it, but from what I've seen in the group, it does help tremendously with hair loss

    4. Awww, yeah, you found the beans. Our uber driver thought we were nuts asking him where we could find them. He told us they didn't have them anymore LOL. Sorry they were underwhelming for you. I suppose that makes me happy we didn't find them on our trip. I hate being let down after looking forward to something for so long.
