Life: Friday Ramblings

We had a great time...
...painting Easter eggs!  Prince Charming painted butterflies and self portraits that all looked like blobs of paint.  Mushy Face painted a pig, a clown, and a bunny in a basket.  I painted an apple tree with a cardinal flying towards it.  We would laugh at each other as we tried to guess what the other was making.  The mess was a bit of a pain to clean up, but it was worth the artistic fun.

I failed to reacquaint you all with...
...my carrot car racing Easter bunny cookie jar!  He's been enjoying the not so fast lanes of our kitchen counter since early March.  The way my vampire piggy brings me seasonal joy, so does this guy!  I think we'll let him stay out for the rest of Spring just because he makes everyone so happy.

We have lots to look forward to...
...in the month of April.  First is Easter, quickly followed by my Aunt's birthday, Papa's birthday, AND my daughters 8th I cry birthday.  As if that's not enough, May 1st is my daughter's communion.  Here's to a month out and about with lots of memories!

I was shook by...
...a picture that my coworker took of me.  It was from an unflattering angle and completely unexpected, but all I could see was my thin hair!  I raced to the salon this weekend and my hair lady assured me that I'm not going bald.  My hair fell out after I gave birth to my son and is slowly growing back.  She showed me the regrowth which calmed me down.  You could literally see the line of where my hair goes from thin to thickish. She chopped a lot of it off and my hair feels a lot less thin.  Hair emergency averted.

My son got in trouble for...
...cursing at school!  He had an accident and told the teacher "It's just f**king poop."  When the school told me about the incident, I reprimanded him for using such bad language.  Well, now the school is telling me it's MY FAULT that he's repeating the word because I acknowledged it.  Ok.. but.. if you didn't want me to acknowledge it, then WHY did you even tell me about it?!

Finally, I wanted to send everyone a giant...
...HAPPY EASTER!  For those that celebrate, I hope that your day is filled with love, family, friends, and lots of chocolate.

What are your Friday Ramblings?

  1. Your son is my spirit animal. I do love the F word LOL!

You have a busy month ahead of you. This year has been a whirlwind of getting stuff done, I told Jason I am not doing a thing for the next week but sit on the couch and stare into space. It will be a nice change of pace.

I miss egg coloring. This will be the first Easter in 21 years that neither of my girls will be home. I am so sad, but we'll celebrate the following Sunday.

I have been taking Sports Research collagen peptides because my biologics make my hair fall out in clumps. It has amazing reviews from not only Amazon from healthy people (and women who lost hair to birthing babies), but from my fellow IBD sufferers as well. Which reminds me, I placed a $900 order on Amazon a few weeks ago and I swear to God you better have gotten credit for it! I meant to send you the list of credits you should have received from us this year, but you know, life got in the way LOL.

    1. They stop doing that in high school? I can see me forcing my high school kids to paint a damn egg!! LOL I have to look into that one. Maybe it will help it grow back quicker. You are the best!! I had a $400 order that was backyard lights and other items. Didn't have a $900 one. Idk why they pick and choose what they register for commission. It's so frustrating!

    2. Are you kidding me!? I’ll look in Jason’s account tomorrow and give you the exact total. I double checked with him before he placed the order and he was like “I clicked the Mickey Mouse link then ordered right away!” It was your Easter basket post he clicked through to purchase a lot of home improvement items (not yard lights though). I am soooo over Amazon not crediting their sales. I definitely think it’s time to find a new affiliate. This makes me super angry!

  5. My daughter colored eggs two days ago with the old fashioned Paas kit. I’m cracking up about your son! But I know it’s not funny when you’re the parent. Did your daughter find out? Siblings always eat that stuff up!😂😂😂

    1. LOL, she did find out and let out a sarcastic "ooooooooo, you're in troubbbllleee". LOL We usually use the Paas kit, but the target brand was 50 cents cheaper and had GLITTER!! Who can say no to glitter??

  6. I miss coloring Easter eggs. The mess was such a pain but it was so much fun! I love the bunny! I'm sorry, but I had to laugh at your son's F bomb. My oldest dropped an F bomb when he two. TWO! It was while he was playing a video game. We were to blame for that, for sure!

    1. LOL, well my son is two also. My daughter did the same at a grocery store at two. Pointed at bananas and SCREAMED "Bananas? What the F**K?" LMAO Oh, the looks I got at that one. Must be part of the terrible twos.
