List: Top ten best vanilla scented products.

As you all know, I have awful allergies.  I'm allergic to pollen, cats, fancy soaps, bunnies, fragrances, cosmetics, adhesive, and pantyhose.  Yes, seriously..  One of my allergies that's selective is my allergy to fragrances.  Some scents kill me and others don't bother me at all.  The ones that don't trigger an allergic reaction are typically warmer type scents like coconut, wood, or vanilla.

Since I'm so limited to which scents I can use, I tend to become a self proclaimed guru of my favorite scents.  This list is going to be dedicated to the top ten best vanilla scented products according to me.  This list is being created for all my fellow allergy sufferers especially for those sensitive to scents!

Top ten best vanilla scented products.

Dove is one of the few brands of skincare products that don't leave me with harsh reactions and a prescription for a steroid.  Due to this, I use this foaming body wash as a shaving cream and a scrub.  It leaves my skin moist, nourished, and smelling absolutely fabulous!

Essential oils are way more than a pleasant aroma for your home.  They're kind of medicinal when used properly.  This particular essential oil is used for relaxation and stress relief.  I'll reach for it on the days that I'm working from home and unable to focus due to a stressful workload.

Fun Fact:  I won't use the same shampoo and conditioner two washes in a row.  I like to switch it up so that the previous shampoo is washed off of my head with the new brand.  Am I crazy?  Probably..  This is one of my favorite hair care items to add to my rotation during the Winter months.  Not only does it make my hair smell AMAZING, but it keeps my hair shiny, healthy, and alive!

I switched to this deodorant about a year ago because my doctor recommended natural deodorant.  It smells amazing without being overbearing and the deodorant actually works!  To read my full review of this product just click this link right here.

5.  Princess Eau De Toilette | Vera Wang
Because of my allergies, I rarely ever put on perfume.  When I do, it's always Euphoria by Calvin Klein.  Well, recently my world was turned upside down when I received this perfume as gift!  It has a pleasant vanilla fragrance to it with a hint of florals.  While it's still second to Euphoria, I'll spritz a little onto my clothes before an event.

6.  French Vanilla Large Jar Candle | Yankee Candle
This candle will last you forever and have your home smelling fabulous with it's warm, subtle scent.

Don't give me that look, this totally counts!  Once I started throwing away diapers, I decided to invest in scented garbage bags.  This one is always my go to because it keeps the funk away without an overpowering smell.  One time we tried the Gain scented Glad bags and it had me running for my Claritan D!

I've confessed my love for EOS lip balm before, but here it goes again!  I always make sure that I have (2) tubes of it.  One tube of Vanilla Bean to keep in my pocket book and another tube of mint scented lip balm in the bathroom to help me wake up in the morning.

9.  Vanilla Bean Noel Hand Soap | Bath & Body Works
I can't go a Winter season with a stock up on my Vanilla Bean Noel foaming hand wash!  It smells fabulous and encourages my babies to wash their hands so they can take a big sniff after rinsing.
Can be found here.

Typically I opt for a 3 wick candle so you get the most bang for your buck, but once in a while I need an emergency candle.  This is my go to item when my stock of candles being empty comes as a surprise.  The scent is soft and the price is right at typically <$4 a candle.

  1. I'm allergic to my mother and pollen :) Dove's vanilla and shea butter just got a new redesign here in Europe. I have that one, pomegranate, cocoa and hibiscus, exfoliating, wintercare, goji and camellia, and a number of Palmolive's shower butters. I generally don't like vanilla in cosmetics, it is usually strange, but I adore it in food. Theresa sent me a couple of cute lil' Yankee Candles and vanilla ones were best as they were the strongest. I've also got that Vanilla Bean Noel body lotion from her. It is nice, but a bit too sweet for me to use daily. Theresa herself loves it when I send her lil' packs of vanilla sugar from my country as you don't have them over there, they make the whole parcel smell heavenly.

    1. lol @ your mother! You guys still get on each other's nerves? Ohhh, I love Yankee Candle! My favorite one is the coconut scented one, but vanilla is fabulous too. Vanilla sugar?? That sounds amazing!! I've never even heard of that. What do you do with it? Put it in tea?

    2. You can put it in your baking, deserts, wherever you want, it is sugar scented with vanilla, one lil' package is enough for one baking. If you ask Theresa she will give you the link to a Serbian shop in Chicago from which you can order them :) Dr Oetker's vanilla sugar is the most famous in Europe. We use that, not liquid vanilla flavour like you. It is so fragrant that if you put the packages in your kitchen drawer everything will smell lovely like vanilla :)

    3. That sounds lovely. Now I'm going to have to search for it. I use the liquid vanilla all the time, even in pancakes. I'm thinking a little packet in our mickey mouse waffles is a must now LOL

    4. If you go to Theresa's Facebook profile you will find a post which I shared with her and you have, I think, the link there :) She found a Serbian shop in USA and I picked all the products from it that she should buy, so you have about 50 or more photos of our sweets in that post :)

    5. Those sugar packets smell so freakin awesome! I love the scent of vanilla and these make my cupboards smell so good. I've even put some in my linen drawers because they smell so good. If you can find some in New York, I'd highly recommend getting a few packs. I haven't even used them in baking. I just sit around and sniff the packets LOL https://www.mercato.com/shop/city-fresh-market-devon-avenue/item/dr-oetker-vanilla-sugar-6-each/460642

  2. I am also allergic to my mother! Lol! I’ve always felt that you can’t go wrong with vanilla because it’s rare that’s it’s overpowering. I don’t think you’re crazy about changing up the shampoo routine as I’ve read that once. Though it may be an old wive’s tale! I also remember reading to rinse your hair in cold water to close the pores and that things like beer and apple cider vinegar are good for your hair. I get dry patches on my scalp in the winter (unsure if it’s dandruff or some other condition) and I put coconut oil on the spots overnight before shampooing in the morning. It seems to work.

Lol on the Gains bags! I hate the smell of Tide, so I understand!

    1. Also, my fave scents are coconut, chocolate and raspberry. I detest floral scents.

    2. You guys are cracking me up with the mother allergies! lol I've read about the cold water too, expect I heard that it's supposed to make the hair shiny. Coconut is my #1 favorite scent. This year I got a candle from Bath & Body Works that was scented like chocolate graham crackers. It was amazing!!

  3. OMG, that sounds like a great candle! Years ago, I found a Thin Mint candle at a discount store. It was cheap and some off brand but it was the best candle ever! I wish I had tried to find the company online and ordered more!

  4. Vanilla Bean Noel is my favorite! I bought about 30 bottles of the hand wash when it went to 75% off after Christmas. For my home, I love any scent that resembles baked goods. Bath and Body Works has a Doughnut candle that I burn that makes the house smell incredible and Autumn Wreath scent from Yankee Candle is my all time favorite to burn! As for my body, I prefer softer, essential oil type scents. Anything from Bath and Body's Aromatherapy line. My daughter and I both have an obsession with their LOVE scent.
