Life: Friday Ramblings

stocking stuffer small business etsy

I'm absolutely in love with...
...the ornaments that I received from Tree Sun Crafts made by one of our favorite blogging friends, Theresa!  Every year I give my team a little gift for the holidays.  This year I had an idea in my head and Theresa was able to make it happen.  I can't wait to gift these adorable ornaments to my staff to both commemorate this horrific unprecedented year in a festive way!  The ornaments are high quality and the perfect little something to give.  I just know they'll love them as much as I do.

If you love these ornaments as much as I do...
...then you should probably check out Theresa's Etsy page by clicking this link.  There are lots of great gift ideas to hand out this holiday season or to keep for yourself...

I want to wish a lifetime of happiness to... boss and his new wife!  A very small group of us gathered with masks and social distancing to see the happy couple get hitched.  I have to say, they were glowing with love.  It really was a beautiful ceremony, despite being a little different this year.

I'm really annoyed that... lemon tree has an infestation of aphids again this year!  I've been regularly cultivating the dirt and spraying it all down with natural insecticide in the hopes of getting it under control.  Of all the plants I have in my home, this lemon tree is by far the most sensitive.

We are really proud of... baby girl for getting a 100% on her math test!  Homeschooling wasn't going so hot so she basically lost almost a year of real math lessons.  After a month of extra help and lots of at home practice, she not only passed her first math test of the year, but got a perfect score!!  To see her go from failing grades as in under 65% correct to an A+ is a perfect example of why elementary age students just can't be taught through a computer.

What are your Friday Ramblings?

  1. Should be gifted as medals not ornaments LOL

  2. Dez always leave good comment . . Lol! I love Theresa’s 2020 ornament set, but I’m hoping to have amnesia by next Xmas! May I ask where the hell these aphids originate? Are they in the soil? The only time I had an infestation was when I bought some mint at a garden shop and put it in my kitchen window. I knew it had to be that, since the rest of my herbs were from seed. The bugs jumped to my basil. I was not happy. Got rid of it all and no issues since.

    1. LOL, that's if it's gone by next Christmas. I'm losing more and more hope!

I called our family exterminator over this because I'm just so frustrated with all the energy I've poured into this lemon (without any edible lemon in 3 years!). He wouldn't come investigate over the aphids, but, he did tell me this. Ants farm aphids because they eat them. We do have an ant problem in our home. He thinks the ants are farming them in my lemon tree. Imagine? Our ants are herding aphids in the soil of my lemon tree so that they can eat them later. Unreal!

  3. Thanks for sharing! Your photo is quite lovely of them too!

Weddings were odd this year, for sure. My godson got married in June in a small outdoor ceremony. Thankfully it was the perfect day for it. I can’t imagine how the winter weddings will go this year. Probably very scaled down and a lot of people are going to see where exactly they fit into the couples lives if they get an invite or not lol

Hurray to a fantastic turnaround in math! Glad she’s doing better now!

Ugh to the lemon tree. You have way more patience dealing with it then i would have. It’s really making you work for a (hopefully) eventual fruit payoff.

    1. I knew you were big on photography so I decided to do them justice and dig out our real camera. My husband looked at me like I was nuts snapping those shots!! Lol

  4. Theresa is awesome indeed. Those ornaments are great gifts. Could be a survival medal too lol Good the wedding went off without a hitch, even if different.

Great she got 100%, but that new math is soooooooooooooooooo dumb!!!

Spread a smile with a comment!
