Review: Neutrogena Ageless Intensives

At the ripe age of 31, I've developed two very fine lines on my forehead.  Damn you, tanning salons, jet black hair, and orange skin for being "in" when I was in HS.  To help battle these fine lines and any future wrinkles, I've been using anti-aging cream as part of my daily beauty routine since my early twenties.  I've tried all sorts of products.  Most gave me an allergic reaction.  Some dried out my skin and caused flakiness.  Others did squat, like literally nothing.  After several flops, I finally stumbled across a serum that I really love.

It's called Neutrogena Ageless Intensives.

Review:  Neutrogena Ageless Intensives

Neutrogena Ageless Intensives is a skincare line to help erase the signs of aging and deep wrinkles.

What prompted you to purchase this line of products?

To be honest, it was a complete and absolute fluke.  No joke!  I accidentally purchased the wrong product.  The universe brought us together.  Accident aside, I've always been a huge fan of Neutrogena.  They are the only brand of make up and moisturizers that I will use on my face.  My sensitive skin requires hypoallergenic, oil free, and non-comedogenic products.  My reaction to different products range from acne breakouts to severe rashes that require medical attention.  These reactions result in brand loyalty from me.  The short answer to this question is, it was a beautiful accident with a brand I trust.

What did you like about the product?

The first thing that I fell in love with was the reasonable price of Neutrogena's Ageless Intensives Serum.  The second was that it worked!  I used Neutrogena Ageless Intensives daily for a week when I saw results.  My two fine lines became near invisible and my skin in general improved.  It felt tighter and was more vibrant.  Having two young children, including a one year old, I'm always sleep deprived.  This line of products has me looking like I am getting a full nights sleep every night.

How long have you been using it for?

I've been using Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Serum for a little over 6 months.  The dramatic improvement was initially seen within the first few weeks, but the continuous use of it has kept the results consistent.  The fine lines are still near invisible and my face is still vibrant.  Hopefully it's keeping any new signs of aging at bay!

I would recommend Neutrogena Ageless Intensives skincare products.

Did you ever make an accidental buy?

  1. I've noticed that creams with collagen and elastine are best for my face and people always think I'm ten to fifteen years younger :)
I've used Neutrogena's facial cleansing gels for years now, ever since my sister Theresa sent me some years ago, it is the only product that keeps acne away from your face, the pink grapefruit collection.

    1. I need to learn to read ingredients so that I know what I’m using. I’ll check to see if those things are in there and circle back. Neutrogena is a great company and one of my favorites! That grapefruit soap is the best!

    2. Scientifically, lines appear when your skin starts losing collagen, so that is why collagen creams are best for keeping the skin young for longer time. And also avoiding sun big time, scientists say that if people avoided sun fully we would look young till we die. I remember the face of a lorry driver, half of it (the one exposed to daily sun through the lorry window) was terribly lined, the other half which was always shaded had much less lines.

    3. In that case, I need to find something with collagen. I currently don't have a nighttime beauty routine so this may be a great time to start doing this. Any product recommendations?

    4. I'm using Avon's Age Restore which is like $2 :) but I'm against you youngsters using creams which are ten years above your age. This one is 45+ and you need something which is 30+ or 35+ tops. Using stronger creams too early can put you in the pickle later on when you will really need them :) In your 30s you just need good hydration which even Nivea Soft or Dove can give you, and possibly some C vitamin serum sometimes to sparkle up your skin. And of course, good diet, vitamins, water, no sun, hygiene, no smoking, no fast food :) I did all of that and people think I'm your age :) while I'm more than a decade older.

    5. I agree, Dezzy. Staying out of the sun is a huge factor in keeping the skin looking pristine. The Koreans have it down constantly putting on sunscreen and using umbrellas to shade their skin while outdoors. Their skin looks smooth like glass. I need to take a page out of their rule book!

  2. Great when you can find something that works and doesn't cause a breakout or rash or 50 other things. Even if you found it by accident lol

    1. One time I accidentally ordered different panty hose than what I’m used to. I had such a bad allergic reaction that I had to go to urgent care and get a shot! Luckily, this time it was a welcomed accident.

    2. I think you told me that. Sucks to have to watch every little thing. I have my epipen ready with anything new. Ugg.

  3. I have super sensitive skin as well and I use this same product only the night cream version. I put it on the line that's on one side of my mouth (like a parantheses line) and although the line is still there, it's definitely fainter and hasn't grown any worse.

    1. This is great to hear! I wonder if we would use the serum and night cream if the effect would be twice as great? Let’s try it.

  4. My grandma advised me to start taking care of my skin in my twenties. I usually use Oil of Olay, but I'll have to check this out.

    1. That's some great advice from your grandmother. :) I don't think it's every too early to start. Well, within reason. I'm not going to give some to my 6 year old. lol

  5. I really like Neutrogena! I used to use Chanel Hydra Beauty, but honestly I don't want to spend that amount of money anymore. My skin has changed quite a lot recently, so I think I should look into some new products as well

  6. See now I'm getting curious. If you say it works, it works and I've got a couple of wrinkles I could do without! (Okay more than just a couple...)

  7. I have been using it and the lightning bolt scar on my forehead is gone.

  8. Well, I'll be 40 in 2 weeks, so I'm always on the hunt for affordable skincare that actually works. I'll have to pick some of this up as an early birthday gift to myself.
