In a few days, my baby girl will be turning two years old. After thinking long and hard, we decided to throw her a pancake party at I Hop. It's perfect for our budget and perfect for her age. Besides, my baby girl loves her some pancakes!
Now that the venue and theme is picked out, it's time to start brainstorming the perfect gift. I pulled all the circulars that I could find and asked her to point at the things she wanted. The result was the ultimate birthday gift guide for a toddler.

The ultimate gift guide for a toddler.
Both my son and my daughter have the best time playing with Little People from Fisher-Price. They are the perfect size. Small enough for them to handle yet large enough that you don't worry about choking. & now you can even get Disney characters!
Can be found here.
We have lots of educational fun with this set. My kids love playing with the letters and learning the different sounds they make. Sometimes my hubby leaves a surprise message on the fridge for me, too!
Can be found here.
3. Portable DVD Player w/ Holder for Car Seat
If you're anything like me, you don't even attempt plane rides with a toddler. Instead, we go on long road trips with the kids and make fun stops along the way. For families that do the same, a portable DVD player may be the ultimate gift for a toddler. They can relax and watch their favorite cartoon. When they're done, they'll be at a fun place a few hours away!
Can be bought here.
4. VTech KiddieBuzz Electronics Smart Phone
With this fun "toy", you can connect with family and play games in a child friendly environment. This is a great gift to give from a family member or friend that moves far away.
Can be bought here.5. A Subscription to Disney+
If we're being completely honest, I was able to cancel my cable plan thanks to Disney+. This would be the ultimate gift for the toddler and for the parents! Anything that the kiddies could ever want to watch could be found on this app.
Can be bought here.6. Crayola Bath Super Set
Bath time was always a struggle in this house. Once I discovered this set, my kids actually wanted to take a bath. It's a super cool set with bubble bath and "paint". For even cooler gift, throw in these bath bombs from Crayola to turn the water different colors.
Can be bought here.7. A TeePee Tent
Everything is always much more fun in a tent. That's a fact. Look it up. You'll win the day with this gift for endless hours of fun in this designated area just for your special toddler.
Can be bought here.8. Fisher-Price Digital Camera
My kiddies LOVE this toy. They feel like a grown up snapping pictures and recording videos of special events. It's even more exciting when they're able to download their works of art onto the computer.
Can be bought here.9. A Busload of Pigeon Books by Mo Willems
Every child I know can agree on the fact the Pigeon is super cool. My 7 year old STILL reads these books like she did when she was two. This collection of pigeon books are honestly a keepsake that can be passed on through generations. Anyone else see Mo Willems going down in history like Dr. Seuss? YES!
Can be bought here.10. Aquarium Starter Kit
After you check with their parents, invest in this aquarium starter set so that the child can pick out their very own pet fish. This kit comes with almost everything they need. They have lots of fun with their new friend and learn something about responsibility.

I'd play with that lil' farm myself :)
ReplyDeleteRight?? So cute! Annddd it makes noises!!
DeleteI love those little people and Dr. Seuss books. Oh and play dough!
ReplyDeleteDr. Seaus always makes me smile! Play dough smells good. Is that wrong?? lol
DeleteWould it be wrong if I said I'd jump in those balls? lol The cat would like the fish, might not live long though
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not! The problem is, will you fit in it? lol
DeleteThanks to yoga I can bend in there lol
DeleteI wouldn't recommend getting one of those two betta fish bowls. Or the small ones in general. They can live in small ones (they can breath our air) but my old betta fish really liked her 3 gallon tank and her heater since bettas are tropical fish
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! Mushy will need it. :) We want a happy fish.
DeleteThese are so awesome! Keeping this list handy for the little toddlers in my life! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope it helps.
Deleteaw, fun! A pancake party would be awesome, esp at her age.
ReplyDeleteAnd what good choices. I'm partial to the Dr. Seuss collection (just so dang good) but a betta fish would be awesome too! Though that bowl looks kinda small for two of them!!
I hope Easter and the baptism went well :)
I can't wait to eat all the different types of pancakes. hahaha Thanks! Dr. Seus is tempting, right? I should send this list out to the invitees! lol
DeleteIt went really well. Thanks for asking!
I thought it would be something related to a TV show, like My Little Pony :P
ReplyDeleteEep!!!! Mushy loves Spongebob and Olaf. That's her extent of cartoon characters. Lmao
DeleteI soooo wish we had portable DVD players when I was a kid!
